Haiti Update 7/13/2010
Some great things are happening over in Haiti! We've been hard at work, partnering with Connect2 Ministries and Caribbean Vision Ministries, to rebuild the House of Hope Orphanage where our short term team ministered earlier this year prior to the earthquake.
The Haiti relief fund we raised at Crossroads has been put to good use, and this most recent trip saw the primary construction of both boys' and girls' dormitories! This is such a huge blessing to the orphanage, as they previously had only one building in which the girls slept at night while the boys slept outside. They've also started construction on a main office building for the orphanage that will improve their communications abilities with other ministries and organizations.
A well has also been dug on the orphanage site which, upon completion, will allow the kids and the staff there access to clean water instead of walking miles to the nearest source!
Thank you for your continued prayers and donations! If you want to donate to the continued efforts, please drop a check in the offering stand with "Haiti Relief" in the memo line, or you can drop it by the church office during normal office hours.
Here are some pictures from the latest trip:
