THE BOOK FAMILY - CRU at UCLA John and Ramie Book are on staff with Cru at UCLA. They spent five years reaching college students at UC Irvine, and then John spent two years finishing his Master of Divinity degree at Talbot School of Theology. In 2002, John became the Campus Director of Cru on the UCLA campus (John’s alma-mater and where Bill Bright began the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ in 1951). John leads a team of seven other staff, as they try to fulfill their mission of seeing “lost students become Christ-centered laborers.” The Books are passionate about raising up the next generation of Christian leaders and seeing them impact the world. The Books have three children: Katie (14), Brennan (11), and Josh (8).
