VBS 2026
Escape from Giza Gulch
Welcome to the Old West! This year, we’re heading to "Giza Gulch" to explore the Book of Exodus. It’s going to be a week of incredible stories, games, and lasting friendships as we learn to trust God through His Word. Below you will find everything you need to know about registration, volunteering, and event details.
Dates & Times
-
VBS runs from June 22 – June 26, 2026.
Event Hours: 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM nightly.
Volunteer Arrival: 6:00 PM nightly, unless told otherwise.

Please register using your child’s name. If you are a volunteer who needs childcare for children too young to attend VBS, please use the specific registration option:

If registering before June 1, use your child’s current grade.
If registering after June 1, use the grade they will enter in the fall.

We put significant effort into pairing friends, but we cannot guarantee all requests or accommodate team changes at check-in. Please encourage your child to be open to making new friends! They will still be with the larger group for most of the night.
-
Yes, if you desire to have a Plus Ministry Leader accompany your child, please reach out to Jason at plus@lifeatcrossroads.org to make arrangements.
-
Yes, kids will be handed a snack upon leaving at the end of the evening.
Volunteer Information
-
General Volunteers: Must be entering at least 8th grade.
Check-in/Check-out: Must be at least 18 years old.
Creative Design (Decor) Team: Must be at least 16 years old.
-
We are looking for enthusiastic helpers in several areas, such as games, crafts, snacks, childcare for volunteers, check-ins, and Friday night tear down! While we have various roles to fill, our most significant need is for Small Group Leaders to mentor and guide the kids throughout the week.
-
As a Small Group Leader, you’ll help facilitate the fun! You will:
Work in Pairs: You’ll always be partnered with another leader—you’re never on your own.
Manage a Small Crew: You will lead a group of approximately 10 children.
Build Relationships: You’ll guide your group through activities, stories, and games, helping them connect with the lessons from the Book of Exodus.
-
No experience is required! Because you’ll be working alongside a partner, this is a great role for both seasoned volunteers and those new to VBS. We provide all the materials and support you need to lead your group successfully.
-
You can find the volunteer registration link further down this page. Join the "Giza Gulch" crew and help make this week unforgettable for our kids!
What are the volunteer requirements?
-
Sunday, June 14, from 6:00–7:15 PM in the Worship Center. (Excludes Creative Design and Childcare teams.)
-
You may only sign up for one team (Snacks, Crafts, Games, or Small Group Leader), as these happen simultaneously. However, you can do Creative Design plus one evening role.
-
Must be available during the day starting June 1.
-
Yes! If you are volunteering and have children too young for VBS, please register them under "Childcare for Volunteer Kids Only.”
-
Yes, we provide a hot meal as well as snacks each night.

Friday: Team Color Night
Parking & Logistics
-
The main parking lot will be closed throughout the week.

We love new friends! Please kindly remind them to register online ahead of time so we can have their team placement ready.
